We are proud to announce that Plantation Propane, Owens Propane, Southern LP and Southeast Quality Propane are coming together to create a strong, local solution for propane – operating now as Southern Quality Propane.

This is a development that we believe strengthens our ability to serve you and protects our region. This is really a story of three successful companies deciding that they are stronger together. We’re coming together to do better for the community and our customers.

Most people don’t realize that energy is typically controlled by large, out of state corporations that go into communities and set prices at a corporate level. As local companies with decades of history in our region, we wanted more for our customers. We wanted to protect our homes, businesses and farms. We believe it’s important to make decisions locally, set prices that are fair for customers and not be at the mercy of executives based out of state. Keeping things local is important to us.

At the same time, we know it’s also important to offer a high level of service and innovative technologies to customers. It’s all part of keeping the quality high and the price competitive. By combining the operations of these three companies, we can afford to keep up and also maintain a great staff. All the team members from each company will stay on board, so we are able to keep offering the customer service that’s so important to our clients.”
